i was asked to be part of the great benefit show, put on by brooklyns own shaping son rick malwitz. he made 24 surfboard mid-drifts and send them all over the world for people to creat on or in my case around...

the boards will be on display in the quicksilver soho store starting tomorrow for a week and there will be a show and opening on october 3rd at the 303 gallery in williamsburg.

if you are around surf-aid could sure use the support and if you see rick, thank him for putting all of this together. he was and is tireless. sleep is over-rated. plus shaping when you are shit tired is good for you...

Saturday august 15th Dano surfboards, the newest addition to the lightly salted family will be making a stop along the road with some new boards for the shop, and possibly some we can try?.?.. also in tow will be the newest shipment from the captain, of the captain fin company. and some of the spankiest new raen eyewear. the tents will be up around 2. the boards will be there, sailor jerry will be serving $3 rum punches. music, fun and a bit of everything...

dusk brings the showing of the white lotus dano movies shot by steve rogers, who will be in the house with some promo stuff. then we show captain fin companys newest film "you scratched my anchor" on the boards saturday night. shake your scurvy for the night and get down to asbury. here is some pics to wet the whistle...

the swell hit us this morning, and i must admit after riding chris's 6'5" bonzer shape. i think i am convert, i got in and called duncan campbell, and am going to meet with him in the next few weeks to get some in here, forealdo...

chris stopped by the other day with some sweet shapes. i am LOVIN the greens, it reminds me of the kawasaki dirt bike my father used to ride. killer shapes. keep on the lookout for the lightly salted "spring cleaning" event where chris and some other guys will have a ton of slightly used boards for sale, i will let you know when and where and who soon. oakley is on board, and we will have some other goodies in the works...

two reasons to celebrate

1. i got the day off and was able to print some stuff. like for example a rainbow fin company macker lent to me from the head squid. part of a 6 print printing session, peep the stuff. ANYONE OUT THERE INTRESTED IN THE FIN LOVE PROJECT, AND HAS A GALLERY, I AM LOOKING, SO HIT ME UP.

2. i just read (i know, i'm probally weeks late, but hey... i've been busy) that the poloroid plant was bought and plan to keep printing film will begin in 2010. so i guesss the stockpiling plan, for future use can be put on hold for a bit, fuckin a, snapping away again...

new chaize boards to post tomorrow, some in the shop and one getting tested whenever the swell is up again, till then stay warm, and if you find yourself in asbury, stop in the shop...

This is a shirt many might not realize as being what it is, but sometimes you will get someone who does... and that is when this shit really works...
